Door wiring access - help!

Hi folks,

 

A couple of wires in my driver door loom are cut through in the rubber housing (see pic). How do I remove the rubber housing from the door? Do I need to remove the soundproofing in my second pic?

Hi, how did you manage to remove the soundproofing in the end? Were you able to remove the rubber grommit once the soundproofing was out of the way?
