Skoda fabia Monte Carlo 1.2 rocker cover seal

Featured Replies

Hey!

I just wanted to check if this is correct.

I have an ever so slight leak from the rocker cover seal and I've been told that to change the seal you need to take off the timing chain and cam shaft, is this correct?

If so it makes it a big job 👀

Thanks

I'd check whether or not 1 or 2 of the cover bolts need retorqueing; that's usually been the cause of a weep from the rocker cover seal IME.

@Paws4ThotI can certainly take a look into that. I'm also thinking it could potentially be the crankcase breather as per this thread >

Well I'm hoping it's that as it's a lot easier of a job
