Replacement Head Unit

Featured Replies

Hi.

I have a 2017 1.2 tsi petrol yeti in which is fitted an Amundsen Head unit.

The head unit is the standard factory fitted unit with 4 buttons down each side, and 2 card slots for, on the L. The navigation card, and on the R. an SD card with all our CD's etc.

The unit is failing mostly due to screen issues, and I know that it's possible to get it fixed.

But I'd rather change it for a more up to date unit.

I'm not too bothered about satnav, as we still use a Garmin unit on the dash, which frankly, as proved on a 2,000 mile journey into Europe last year is far more accurate, and certainly easier to keep updated.

So as it's basically just a double din unit, and the ONLY thing I want to retain is the on screen front and rear parking sensor display,  can anyone please suggest an aftermarket alternative which will go straight in please.

I understand I would lose some steering wheel controls like phone and speech control, but I never use those things anyway.

The Amundsen has never been very good, so it's time we dumped it and moved on.

Thanks for any advice.
