Multiple ECM errors - No Dash Lights

Featured Replies

Hi all,

First proper post on the forum! I’ve been a lurker for a while but thought it’d be best to join :)

I have a problem at the moment that is baffling me a little bit, I’m not savvy with cars especially their electronics, bit of a mystery.

I’ve recently developed a fault, at low speeds  say 10mph and below, ABS sometimes likes to kick in and pump the breaks almost like I’m on ice or a slippery surface, although this isn’t the case.

No lights appear on the dash

I’ve logged with VCDS and I’m getting multiple module showing an intermittent no comms issue 01314. This appears on multiple modules, also on ABS brakes and Central Electrics

No lights appear when ABS kicks in and when I’m doing above say 10mph and brake to a stop this doesn’t happen.

Logs are as follows

ABS brakes - Code 01314 Engine Control Module 49-10 No communications - Intermittent

Auto HVAC - Code 65535 Internal Control Module Memory Error

01271 - Code 01271 Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68) 30-10 Open or short to plus - Intermittent

Central Electric - 01314 Engine Control Module 49-10 No communications - Intermittent

01598 - Drive Battery Voltage 07-10 Signal Too Low - Intermittent

00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85) 49-00 No Communications

01117 - Generator Terminal DF Load Signal 27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Instruments - 00779 - Outside Air Temp Sensor (G17) 30-00 Open or Short to Plus

01314 Engine Control Module 49-10 No communications - Intermittent

CAN Gateway - 01314 Engine Control Module 49-10 No communications - Intermittent

00777 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85) 49-00 No Communications

Steering Assist - 01314 Engine Control Module 49-10 No communications - Intermittent

Has anyone seen anything like this before or experienced this?

Where shall I look?

Any suggestions are welcome :) have a nice evening all!

Thanks,

Jack

The last time I saw an error list like this the actual issue was a disconnected alternator control wire. Does the alternator light appear when you switch on but before you start the engine?

Hi,

Thank you for the insight, from memory, I don’t remember seeing an alternator light on the dash before I start the car, but I shall check tonight and update :)

Thanks,

Jack

The ABS kicking in like you describe sounds like you have odd sized tyres fitted, please check every tyre is exactly the same size.

Hi,

I’ve took a video of the dash before starting the engine, I can’t see any alternator light

.

You might be able to see something that jumps out?

Thanks,

Jack

Thank you for the help, I have checked and all tyre sizes are the same.

I appreciate your suggestion.

Thank you,

From Jack

Neither do I, and it should stay there until the engine fires.
