Infotainment brightness

At night I find the brightness of my infotainment screen really bright. 
I know there is a slider for brightness but before the last update I had at the dealership I could have sworn there was an option to have night mode kick in automatically when it’s dark. 
I noticed after the update I now have the option of ‘background lighting’ which basically just adds a bit of colour in the background certain menus and on display with the speedo etc. 

Anyone any idea if there is a ‘night mode’ or is it a case of using the slider everytime you want to dim it?
