Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Superb sportline 280 on an 67 plate and I’m wanting to do the following.

comfort indicator blink 5 times

starting vibration reduction set to off

can anyone help the reason for the starting vibration to off is on launch in the damp the car stutters then takes off again my previous Golf R did this before changing this setting but I can’t seem to find it on the Superb.

thanks

Did you check the 2 pinned posts at the top of the forum for the standard and facelift versions?

Never heard of this, so a bit more enlightenment on what this is/does would be great?

Yes this is why I asked the question.

The comfort indicator is when you tap the stork down it normally does 3 I’d like to up it to 5.

The starting vibration reduction is there to stop axle tramp when launching but all it does in the superb for me anyway is stutter on launch I’d rather it wheel spin and be smooth, on a previous golf r once I changed this it helped massively.

I have tried one of them to do with the blinker but nothing has changed even tho it was changed from 3 to 5 as for the starting vibration reduction I can’t find anything about it, it was something I did to my Golf r and thought with sharing the platform it could be done on the Superb.

Do you have a facelift or original Superb?

The reason there are 2 posts is the coding and some security details are different between the original and facelift superb

OK, so if I’m reading this this right, there is supposed to be a setting which can (or should already be) enabled to stop axle tramp which using launch control?
Well, the first bit of advice would be to use launch control a few times or better still, not at all, because it prematurely wears the clutch packs. Yes, I have used launch control once on a private road and got no judder or tramping at all, just extremely fast acceleration with no wheel spin. So I don’t get why you’re suffering axle tramp, as that is usually associated with FWD vehicles, not 4x4’s.

Here’s the code for the comfort indicators.

Module: 09 (Central Electronics)
Security Access → Code: 31347

Module: 09 (Central Electronics)
Adaptation → Channel: Turn signal control-Komfortblinken
New value: active

Module: 09 (Central Electronics)
Adaptation → Channel: Turn signal control-Komfortblinken Blinkzyklen
New value: from 2 to 5

Save the changes, exit VCDS and do a factory reset of the lights in the infotainment unit.

Firstly thanks for the info on the blinker, I have already tried to above but not reset the lights in the infotainment system so will definitely try this, I’m not getting axle tramp the car acts like the traction control is still on and briefly stops accelerating and then carries on so I want to deactivate the setting to stop this and I know that it will eventually wear the clutch packs as this isn’t my first dsg car but thanks for the friendly advice, like I said I changed the setting on my previous golf r (same engine and gearbox).

My 2016 280tsi suffered a Haldex pump failure at 20,000 miles. There was nothing showing on the dash, but there was a lot of wheelspin and torque steer. When I looked on VCDS there were error codes for Haldex pump failure. A new pump fixed the problem, So I'm just wondering if your problem could be due to Haldex failure? I certainly don't feel any of the hesitation you mention on mine.

Hello Nick,

Have you tried the previous coding you did on the Golf?

Sorted the blinker after a infotainment reset, thank you very much.
