LED Headlights - wiring red to black and it works - but why?

Featured Replies

Hi all

After days trying to work out what's wrong with my two headlights not working, and not getting anywhere, I accidentally put the plus to negative connector from one of the ballasts and the LED worked for about 10 minutes.

If it works by wiring incorrectly, what might be the reason for them not working as they should?

Can anyone give me a clue as to why the light would work that way but not positive to positive? What might be the cause?

I'm not skilled or knowledgable in this area so any help appreciated. Many thanks.

LED bulbs only work one way, so if the bulbs were fitted the wrong way round????

Thanks. AG Falco

Yes, which is what I thought. But i searched online and found 3 sources saying you can reverse the polarity if they don't work. So, I'm just testing that at the moment. 👍
