Second row ISOFIX bottom cover - keeps falling out

Featured Replies

One of the 4 ISOFIX bottom covers on the second row of seats absolutely won't stay in place, and I can't figure out why.  Keeps coming loose and then rattling against the metal bar.  Does anyone know if there is there some special magic to fitting it?  I've had it to stay put for a bit, but as soon as someone sits in the seat it's loose again.

Same here. I just threw them into the rear door pocket.

We had one that kept popping out on the middle seats - I think in the end I realised it was the seat padding that wasn't sitting right at the base of the backrest causing it to pop out.  I gave it a good squash down and it seems to have been OK since.

Thanks Skomaz.  I'll have a look at that.  I can't really get my head around them.  The little 'wings' that look like they should keep it in place seem to be angled the wrong way around to me, therefore difficult to get in and easy to pull out!?

Exactly the same problem and fix with my Bear.

I've had yet another look at it and I can't see any of the padding that looks out of place.  It looks pretty much identical to the one right next to it that's never budged.

It was a while ago since my solution to the problem so if I remember correctly, I just forced the seat cushion under the backrest on the offending Isofix corner and it slotted into place making the metal bar more accessible to fix the plastic part in place.

Hope this is of some help.
