2012 (March) Octavia 2.0 TFSI VRS

 

I heard the chain tensioners was one to look out for and I have driven the car on a test drive and all seemed well.

 

just checking for any more advice before I commited?

I was told the 2nd gen with the DSG box and 2011/12 (Petrol) was the one to have as they're "bombproof".

 

Clearly any car (including new ones) can have issues but this was from a specialist by me that I met through the motorbikes, chatting over a coffee and he told me to find one and with the DSG box even though I much prefer a manual,

 

A few months later and I bought one.
