Radiator removal without bumper removal

Featured Replies

Ok so I had a look at the on line and found one Utube video and the chap who made it is correct and it really helped me. But it may be me but it was not clear what to cut off and where the tang is.

Either side of the Radiator are two locating tangs. They are towards the top of the radiator about 6ins down in old money.

1. The Tangs are just on the top of the fitting none at the bottom. So one tang either side at the top need cutting off.

2. Use an old dinner knife.

3 Heat the knife with a blow torch and slide down the fitting three cuts for me, the tang is about an inch wide. I did sharpen the tip of the knife and to be honest it didn't really help.

4 The Tangs you cut off are apart of the radiator so are part of your new radiator. So no dammage is done.

5 Having cut both sides the radiator flips forward and pulls out.

Ps you Need to unscrew the air filter box and lift it up  then pull the washer bottle top up and to one side. Then remove the fan.
