Err Help!

Featured Replies

I've posted this in the ICE Forum and I've not got any replies!

I have symphony headunit which I have swapped for an aftermarket one. I don't have a radio code for my symphony and the dealer tells me they can get me one but it only lasts 24hours, is this true? I want to sell it on ebay to recover my costs.

Never heard of a radio code that died after 24 hours.

Modern Symphonies read their code from the ECU, so work with that ECU even if the battery is disconnected (older ones 'forgot' the code without power), but they need the code - which the dealer can get from Skoda - if they are to be transferred to another car.

Just to confirm....

If I get the code from Skoda it will go in another Skoda without any problems?

My 2004 Symphony + code went into johnyardley's 2001 Fabia no problem.
