Car covers

Featured Replies

Hi,

can anyone recommend a suitable car cover for a Yeti? A car specific one would be great (I have looked but have found one, or found expired links from other threads), alternatively a generic cover which fits well would be appreciated.

TIA

We've never covered any of our Yetis, but my experience of outdoors car covers is based around keeping an old Subaru Impreza Turbo dry and rust-free ! :-

1) Get the heaviest weight cover you can find (many eBay and Amazon ads will state this).

2) Cotton / fleece lined inside

3) Decent straps to the under the body and over the roof.

4) Put 2 covers on top of each other if covering without moving car for a few weeks.

If you do all that, it won't lift or blow away, it won't scratch the paint, and the water won't soak through and sit on the paint !!!

?

Is it an All Weather / Outside protection cover that will not cause damage and is easy on and easy off you are after,

or a dust cover for inside use you want?

It would be to keep rain at bay. There is an issue with water ingress through the sunroof and I will be away for a few weeks so unable to monitor it and remove the water that has leaked in on a daily basis. I do not want to return to a flooded car so need to slow the ingress before I can effect a repair.

My sunroof leaks only at the front, so when I'm going to be away for a spell I try and park the car facing uphill. Worth a go if your local geography allows ...
