Hello there!

My wife and I recently bought our first Skoda. Since we got a baby we started looking for something with the big boot and relatively nightmare free (high service costs, constant breaking down, expensive parts, etc). So we decided to buy the Octavia mk3 2018 TDI (150hp) FWD with a 6-speed dual clutch transmission.

we hope that we did the right choice…

until recently we had a Lexus IS300h so we traded in Lexus for the Skoda and got around 7000€ over the Skoda value, pretty nice deal, isn’t it?

The Octavia was valued around 17.000€ with 111.000 km on the dash.

Since I am working as a mechanic at VAG workshop I could check the history of the car I purchased. It turned out that every single service was done before the due, even the DSG was serviced at 56.000km which people tend to forget.
Recently we flushed the DSG with a LIQUI MOLY Gear Tronic machine and replaced the filter. So that’s about it what we did with the car so far.

I purchased all other filters and motor oil which I will be replacing soon.
