Engine Control Module Issues

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have issues with my ECM. Is it a simple case of buying a used one online and swapping them out or are there other factors and routes I must take?

I've attached an image of it.

Thanks all :)

What makes you believe that?

What the garage has said perhaps?

Hi, yes, diagnosed by my mechanic. Erratic issues with starting. Cheers

If he hasn't tried a replacement then I'm inclined to think he's just guessing.

It’s been tested.

Things will need recoding, immobiliser, radio, and probably much more.

= I am beyond my skillset now, I really dont know what the problem is, I want to see the back of the car and the customer.

By said mechanic no doubt?

He took it out and checked everything and before he took it out he plugged his iPad looking thing into the car. He’s a certified VAG mechanic.

Good luck then! 🤣
