Issue connecting phone via USB cable

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Recently bought my 21 plate Fabia estate... love it, except having trouble connecting my Andriod (Pixel 3a) phone via usb to enable andriod auto, so I can use navigation etc. My wifes newer Pixel won't connect either, and I have tried various cables including a good quality new one. It just says USB device cannot be read.

I know it worked previously in the car with my Dads IPhone. Did I do something when I hit factory reset when I got the car to erase previous data?

Any help is absolutely welcomed!

Thanks

Latest update of Android Auto needed on your mobile. And must be using a Data lead not a charging lead. Most of the time it's aftermarket leads that are the issue.

Hi, welcome.

I don't know if this would help but if you've not looked it might be worth a look also, VWSkoda update "portal". - https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/

Thanks everyone, but I managed to get it connected today. I didn't realise you needed to tap the android auto symbol for it to load up the first time and also whisper some witchcraft at the same time!
