Hello fellow Skoda owners, 

 

Just got my Skoda Octavia brand new a week ago, and when I use Android auto the touch screen gets disabled after some time. Can't pause music or change temperature. Works if again if I press the climate shortcut, and then menu. But as soon as I go into android auto again, the touch screen is disabled. Anyone got an idea why it is like this? I am pretty sure the software version is the newest 1941

I get similar issues where either the touchscreen doesn't work or the Spotify / PocketCasts screen is blank. Very annoying and no idea if there is a fix for either.

Ok, that was actually my first question after reading your first post:

Have you tried with a different phone? Check if your AA is up-to-date...
Over the past 10 days, I've received 2 AA updates (on Android 14); 1st update made AA slightly unresponsive, 2nd one kind of fixed the issue.

OnePlus 10 Pro running Android 14 (NE2215_14.0.0.500(EX01))

 

I've also noticed that in the last few days (??), messages (WhatsApp / SMS) don't appear in Android Auto meaning I don't see these until I have finished my drive. Not great when the message is something like "don't bother driving the 2 hours to get here, too wet to play golf".

Alright, tested with my wife's iPhone and after 15 minutes it does the same. Infotainment touch function crashes. Gonna get it fixed at a Skoda workshop then. How silly
