Headlight switch functons

Featured Replies

Yesterday I noticed swmbo had left the lights on in the low beam position. No warning buzzer and the lights were off until I turned on the ignition.

Is this normal or is there a problem with the switch?

There's a golf 5 or 6 switch in the shed would it fit and work?

Thanks guys

When the side lights are in the on position the warning buzzer sounds when you pull the key...

That's normal behaviour. Depending on how the car is coded and whether it has a rain/light sensor leaving the lights in the on position can be used for coming and leaving home, where the lights stay on for a number of seconds when you unlock or lock the car.

Thanks for the reply. No rain or light sensors and the lights go off when you pull the key, the low beams are dull as is the green lights on warning light
