Hi a few weeks back the brake wear light came on, on the last mot it referred to brake discs rusty and pitted so I thought I’d change everything which was done by a mechanic mate.

He said the brake wear sensor wire had been cut and jointed so not the fault, I have checked the joint and it’s good done all the other things mentioned on this site like fluid level, it’s the orange circular with part circular rings either side.

Any help appreciated

My brake warning is red with an ! in the centre. The orange one is ABS but says ABS in the centre.

According to my book it’s the front pads wear light orange

yes that is the brake pad warning light,  the warning can be turned off permanently by someone with vcds cable + software

If that’s the case I normally have to have my service light turned off once a year I can get it done then.

@Chickenlickin  How are the rear drum brakes if your car has them, have then had a clean out / service?
