A8+eTec, noise in 48V li-ion battery area

Featured Replies

Hi,

question: Skoda Octavia A8 + eTec, after turning off the engine (ignition), a mechanical noise is heard under the passenger seat area. Does anyone have the same behavior? I understand there is a 48V li-ion battery under the seat, but is it supposed to be that noisy?

Hello, welcome to the forum. Do you know if that battery has a cooling fan - could it be that?

Or a coolant pump.

@Warrior193 thanks. Unfortunately, I don't know if the battery has a cooling fan (( the sound up to 2-4 seconds.

@Rooted is it normal to be so noisy?
