I'm looking to replace the rear brake discs on a 20.TDI Octavia Scout. Unfortunately there seems to be a myriad of disc sizes that are fitted to the vehicles PR Code. The old discs are 260mm but looking at the brake pad wear the  top 10mm of the pad does not contact the disc..

Given this scenario should it be fitted with 272mm discs?

Any ideas?

Think I may have answered my own query. 270mm discs don't appear to have been fitted to PR code 1KF though it is a mystery why so much of the brake pad is redundant.

 

260 x 12mm is the disc size for 1KF on Octy2 2008.

Pads to suit have genuine part number 1K0698451G.

Look at images of those and see if they match what you currently have fitted to the car.
