  • Hi, I picked up my new Superb SE L on Tuesday. Very nice, although I think I preferred my old one without myriad settings and the big screen. I will probably change my mind when I get used to it?

You need to register on the app with the same email address you used in the order.

Then (in my case) the dealer needed to request the data consent email to be sent from My Skoda. Once i clicked "i consent" it appeared in the app immediately.

in google play store you can see the app details:

Tracking & explore  - now available in SK, AT, FI, DE (descoped), PT, CH, SI, GB, FR, IE and ES

Okay did it today and dealer sent me email verification. Maybe in couple days.

car should have been made 11.9 but its not 😞 😂

@bazy great, we were waiting for you to tell us how you like the car. 😃
When did you place the order?

Annoyingly it is still in Transit from what i see in the App.

When i ordered the estimate was 4th of October which is tomorow. I will call the dealer and ask him if he knows more exactly where the car is

@Rigor look at czech forum. Added info Cajicek

for others car is great no problems atm amd suspension is without any sound in first 50km.

@bazy Congratulations, It looks very good! 🥳💪
Regarding the suspension, check on a road with cracks in the asphalt.

@QuinFin Strange, the transport takes a long time, ask the dealer.

I did actually today. It arrived in Hanko (south west finland where most new cars arrive). He told me it should be at theirs next week and he will call me about the pickup

I can pick up it up wednesday afternoon. I am excited

Hi QuinFin,

I bet you are excited! I am too, I pick up mine here in the UK on Tuesday afternoon.

In the general Superb Mk4 forum there are a lot of posts regarding a major software problem that won't be fixed untill Wk47. I think it involves much of the ADAS system (Lane keeping assistant, Traffic signal recognition assistant etc etc) not working with dashboard error icons showing the full extent. The car is still driveable but without these assistants.

Not trying to alarm you but you need to be aware. I am hopefull we'll both be fine?

Post back when you have the car with how it is. I will do the same.

Good luck!

@QuinFin

Congratulations! Very beautiful, enjoy it for many kilometers without problems.
What do you think, what is the first impression?
Did you go with these rims or did you put on the winter ones?

  • Author

these are the winter tires and rims. summer tires are in storage but have the same rims.

first impressions is awesome.

Only annoyance so far is that you have to turn lane assist, drowsiness assist and speed warning off every time you start the car. Hope someone with VCDS figures it out later

I got used to all the assistance systems quickly, they don't bother me. In my opinion, they are much better implemented than other cars, even the speed warning, the sound is very discreet.

I have ODB11 and still nothing for Superb 4.

Any major error messages appeared as some of user have seen? I'm also waiting pretty similar setup in coming weeks here in Estonia.

@vampii

I have 3000 km and I have no problem except for the DCC suspension which is sometimes noisy. I know users who have reached 20,000 km and have had no problems, so don't worry.

So thought i would give an update. Just broke 1000KM (yes at the moment dont drive alot but will do trip to Germany and Holland over Xmass so will be longer drives)

Overall i love the car and it features. However whenever i start the car the first thing i do is turn off lane-assist, speed limit warnings, drowsiness warning and one more (the top 4 in the list) which i cant remember the name of right now. These drive me crazy when i leave them on since yes i do speed and the lane assist is just way to intrusive. Probably will turn them all of with VCDS once the data plan and warranty ends. This is not Skoda specific but EU regulations of people who i think never drive a car themselves.

The blind spot detection also shows way to long. I am used to pass and then pull back in. Think right, drive right (in Europe). They always start the blink when they are still on and i pull back in.

Yesterday for 1 minute i thought i had the dreadful all warnings. It started with front sensor not available and then continued with warnings for all systems that dont work. Was about 5 in a row. But then it cleared within the minute and didnt occur again. However i know this will happen alot once winter hits and the car is covered in snow and ice. Was the same in my Mk3 and it is something that just happens with the winter in Finland

So as mentioned overall love it and it is the tiny details that make it perfect. Like the seats sliding back a little when you open the door to make it easier and sliding back when you start. There are loads more of those little things. Also the engine is incredible. When the foot goes to the floor it goes and goes and goes. Cant wait for the autobahn. I have a lotus elise as my summer car but for speed in a straight line the elise doesnt come close (it will destroy the skoda in the corners).

Fuel consumption is 10.8 per 100 at the moment but that is down to me and wanting to have fun and  I dont really care about fuel efficiency

A bit worried about the xmass trip we start on the 18th of December since it will be about 5000K so keeping my eye on the software thread and see if it gets released before i leave so i can get the dealer to update it.

Have you faced any issues with Kessy so far? I have almost same spec Superb and couple of weeks ago with the first snow, there were couple of days when I was able to lock up the car using Kessy but unable to unlock with any of the doors. EasyOpen/button worked with tailgate, there were no errors in the system but always had to use key to unlock the car. Yesterday we had some snow again, temperatures dropped below 0 and one or two doors again failed to unlock with kessy.

yes i have had the same and in the exact same conditions. last week below zero and snow and could only open the car with the key button. pressing the little thing on the handle only seemed to lock it while it was already locked.

Also two doors (including the drivers door) wouldnt open from the inside. the silver handle did nothing. they only started working after a while. i assume after the water somehow got in there froze and needed to unfreeze. it worked fine with the handle outside but not inside. had to open the window and use the outside handle to open the door. will keep a close eye on this when it gets proper cold and also the windows are frozen shut abd then go to the dealer if it appears again
