Mk 2 Scout 2.0 TDI 140 Engine Cooling Radiator - correct size please

Featured Replies

Hi, please can anyone definitively tell me which of the “multiple size options available” on ECP/GSF/ Autodoc is the right one to replace the coolant rad in my 2010 mk2 Scout? I would have guessed at the “extra capacity” version, which is a bit taller I think, but no proof of that.

I can’t measure the core it until it’s out on the floor due to the aircon and intercooler position, and I don’t want to take the car off the road awaiting a new one when I am just doing a bit of preventative maintenance - i.e. minor signs of coolant on the rad core, but no topping up needed so far.
Thanks,

Jon

You need to know your engine code to match the correct cooling system.  If you don't have the service book to hand look in the spare wheel space for the configuration sticker.

Thanks - so the rad size is only pegged to the engine code, not to what spec car the engine is fitted in (Scout /non-Scout)?

Fling your VIN my way and I can tell you which rad part number you have.

"Vin Flinger".  Now there's a name for an adventure film hero :)
