Skoda Connect

Featured Replies

I’ve just acquired a 2023 Superb Tdi 200 L & K which is lovely. I’ve had five Octavias over the last 20 years. And they’re very nice too but time for a change.

Anyway, can some kind soul help me with Škoda Connect please? I’ve got the app and I’ve filled in the VIN and what have you but to complete the connection I have to “become the primary user”. I’ve no idea why or what this entails. My wife might be the primary driver. is that the same?
Whatever. I have to press the unlock on each of my key fobs in rapid succession. I have three keys (and it knows this because it tells me) but it only recognises two….. So I press two of them and it starts to buffer. And buffer. And bu…

Then it helpfully tells me that the whole process has timed out!

So I try again and it tells me that it already recognises those keys……

I have absolutely no idea why or what I’m doing wrong and of course I can operate the car entirely satisfactorily without being “a primary user” (whatever that is). But I’m told my car has an auxiliary heater and that I might be able to preset heating or cooling from my mobile before I get into it.

Any advice (for a slightly grumpy and not wholly tech savvy Superb owner) would be most gratefully received.

I have the same issue. Profile created and syncing to the car but can't make myself primary user. Already tried several soft reboots, factory reset but it either fails to start the process or timeout during the registration.

Went to my local dealer that I bought car from (DMKeith) to verify the issue really there and I'm not just dreaming things. They confirmed the issue and told me the car has to be booked for SW update (after a week I had car and they had several days before to prepare it for me).
