since the weekend I have been having issues with radio reception.

 

If it were a local issue I presume lots of people would be talking about it on Facebook, or the news so wondered if it is a software/hardware issue.

 

any help would be appreciated

But in case you missed it there has been some unusually strong solar activity over the weekend. Not saying you may/may not have other issues but given the timing........................................

Radio propagation is massively affected by solar activity as well as atmospheric conditions, so radio reception in the last few days (especially DAB and digital TV which are 'all or nothing' systems) has been unpredictable.

Yep I found that my radio was dipping in and out, yet live less than 6 miles from a moderately high power national transmission site (Guildford Hogs Back).
