Octavia iV, what options can be unlocked by ODB?

Featured Replies

Stumbled across a vid on YouTube this week while looking for something else and it was a guy who bought an ODB dongle from Amazon and used credits to lock/unlock different features on his car. Can't find the video now, it was on someone else's account so not in my history but it was things like turning off auto rear wipers, lane assist, sound actuator.

Anyway, do we know if there's a full list of what features we enable/disable via ODB?

You need VCDS or OBDEleven/ODB11 to start tweaking.

But the principal thing to remember is to make a backup of all of the settings BEFORE you make any changes, so you can revert them if they don't work as expected.

However be warned there are a few that are ONE change only, and an increasing number are protected with security codes/barriers, some require licences to work at all.

Cheers. Don't intend to change anything yet but moreso curiosity as to what's software locked, i.e. speed limit sign recognition, rather than what's limited by hardware.

There's a full list on the ODBeleven website.

I actually did some changes last week;

- vRS theme on virtual cockpit

- electronic trunk sound of

- Scandinavian DRL (tail light always on)

- 30 color interior led

- lane assist memory setting

- auto rear wiper off

Worked great with OBDeleven Pro and 200 credits. Paid €140 and used 150 credits.

I coded the interior led manually. Everything else with the so-called one-click apps.
