Anybody removed and replaced the sunglasses holder?

Featured Replies

Id like to line it with felt so I don't have to hear the sunglasses rattle but it feels like brittle plastic so im wary of trying to persuade it out without some knowledge first. Im hoping it'll be like the lower glove box, a couple of tabs to push and out it comes? not at home to look right now though, cheers!

I did mine I situ...   Pretty easy all things considered.  Cut the felt to size iteratively but by bit then stuck it in using double sided tape.

You just need to be wary you don't go overboard with it as too much in the wrong place and it won't latch shut

Ah great thanks, in my old car it didn’t open very far so I had to remove it. A nice job for the weekend :)

Ok well I got home and the holder has a rubber mat in it already! I’ve felted the other faces and let’s see how it goes.

That's pretty much what I did - you can do the 'roof' of it too but that can cause closing issues.

Mine (2019 Kodiaq with factory sunroof) didn't come with a sunglasses holder. Removed the grab handle on the driver side and replaced it with a sunglasses holder. I love it (did the same in previous cars I owned). Part can be found on a well known chines site (just look for "Skoda Kodiaq sunglass holder")
