Moving on - clearing infotainment, phone and contacts etc

Featured Replies

Hi, our 2020 Sportline will be going in p/ex on Wednesday. How do I go about clearing down anything personal that might be in the infotainment system? For example when the screen opens (or is it when I switch off) it says hello/goodbye and my name. Would there be any other details stored?  And how about my phone and all the contacts?
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you

There should be a 'Restore factory settings' option in the main settings menu. That should clear everything....

Thank you, will try that later 👍

If it doesn’t, I’ll be back on 🙂

Thank you @NottsIan That worked, my name, phone contacts, radio channels all gone in one reset 👍 Had visions of needing to go into numerous different pages to remove stuff so that saved a great deal of anticipated angst

Happy to be of help. Whilst I've not used the factory reset on my Karoq, I've used it on many other vehicles. When I was working, I had  company leased vehicles so got used to the factory reset functionality when it was time to hand them back!

Nice to know that on that, if on very little else, Skoda got it right before it left the factory !
