Hey guys, so my car has just all of a sudden started to have a very bouncy, springy ride. Also when I finished a journey this morning there was a slight hissing sound coming from o/s rear shock and I can see some light misting of oil.

 

Theres also an occasional knocking noise from what sounds like n/s rear when I go over humps or pot holes.

 

Anyone know what these are likely to be and if its an easy fix for home diy or if its really a garage job?

Replacing the rear shocks is one of the easier DIY jobs, check you haven't broken a spring as well though.

Check the condition of your bump stops as well.
