Where's Laura 🤷‍♂️

Featured Replies

Hi i hope someone can enlighten me.  It seems that Laura is missing.   Thankfully I've never really had any major infotainment issues with my Octavia that others have experienced. But lately I've noticed that Laura cannot be summoned. Tbh it hasn't really been reliable for me so hardly use it. Now though,  I can't call it up, before I would just say "Hey Laura" and Laura with a deep male voice would respond but just wouldn't be very helpful (i won't get into details just useless to me for the most part). Now though there's no response.  What I've noticed lately though is,  as soon as I start the car, and connect my phone I hear Laura in a female voice say "I didn't understand" and that is it.  Does anyone else have this issue, is Laura available?

I've had the issue. Complete reset to factory settings turns her/him on again

Ahhh ok nice.  Thanks, I'll give that a try. See how it goes.

I actually got the male voice over the weekend and he's still there.

It coincided with my infotainment unit prompting me to search for available FM stations and to store them as if it was the first time using it. I let it go through with it and for the first time the internet radio functionality worked and I have internet radio now so not complaining about that.

Since then the station icons for the FM radios it had stored in the favourites list are all gone but it retained the internet station's icons so I don't know what that was about.

I did get the unit updated to 1941 a couple of weeks ago so it might be all coincidental to that.

Interesting…

I gave up on internet radio about three years ago, but had 1941 installed a few months back - maybe I’ll try again.
