Rapid Spaceback 2014 or 2015

Featured Replies

Hi there. I am trying to decide between a 2014 Rapid Spaceback 67,000 miles 1.2 TSI 105 at £5500, and a 2015 Rapid Spaceback 47,000 miles 1.2 TSI 110 SE Tech at £7300 (both from main dealer). Any thoughts as I am tempted by the lower price of the 2014 option but wondered, besides the higher mileage, whether there are any obvious downsides to this? Thank you.

I'd rather the later car because "there ain't no substitoot for coobes".

The older 105 has a cam chain whilst the 110 has a cam belt IIRC. If you go for the 110 it will be worth asking if the belt has been don.

The old 8 valve chain is very easy to replace as well and performance is fine. Very quiet engine, sometimes don't even know they are running.

Thank you.

I was leaning towards the 2014 one but the dealer has no record of service history after 2017 which is a bit off-putting! They said they will service for me but I am not sure!
