My TMS has stopped working and I am told by my dealer that the issue is that the supplier of the information has not paid it's bills to the radio stations that provide the information to them so the radio stations have stopped providing the Skoda service provider with the information.

 

My dealer says that the issue is the bane of their life and apparently not even new Skoda's have an active TMS. 

 

This all seems a bit odd and I wonder if others are having the same problem and if there is a fix?

Hello Philip, welcome to the forum.

I believe that Traffic Master TMC was switched off sometime last year - widely reported on the forum. Try searching TMS.

I recall seeing that there was a work round to access traffic information from another source.

@Yogi-Bear posted really useful details on this recently.

TLDR: TMC has been switched off for Skoda (and other brands) and is not coming back. You need to use one of the workarounds described in the thread, some of which are quite technical, others not so much. My own solution is described here:
