After only having it on for 48 hours i have teken it off.

I like the extra "throatiness" of the engine but to be honest the loudness of the dump valve is too c.h.a.v. for me and i found it embarrasing.

If that is your thing then fair enough but i think i will be going for a replacement panel filter instead.

So if anyone wants a barely used CAI let me know

to be honest the 1.8t engine is quite good on torque but on sound itts crap.

The 1.8T can produce a glorious sound, it just needs a little help.

If you want a load of dump valve sound then it is great but it was just too much for my tastes. It certainly made the car a bit more responsive too, and i think the turbo seemed to spin up faster.

Hi, ROb. I see you've done the same thing I did with mine The amplified Darth Vader noise is very ch*v with the EBay kit. However, the Carbonio is a bit quieter (well seemed to be when i had a passenger ride in piv34uk's Octavia)

Lots of money to just try out though so it may be worth listening to one to see what you think.

Hadaway! The DV soundtrack is the best bit! I often see the boy racer crowd looking round to see what monstosity is making such a noise, then looking totally confused as me Skud sails past. Class.

Maybe someone who can record the sound?
