Front light assist (High beam assist) rear view mirror retrofit for Octavia 3 Facelift

Featured Replies

Hello, I wanted to ask if anybody has tried retrofitting the interior mirror for high beam assist - I only have rain and day lighting sensors. I would like to retrofit a mirror with High beam assist, as I had it in my previous car and I liked it. The question is more about the wiring though. I am an electrotechnician but car electricity and diagrams are a completely different field for me.

According to this diagram, I should add 2 wires (bottom part of the diagram, orange/brown + orange/grey) to the mirror and connect them to the J533, which I am not sure about. I contacted a guy who retrofitted this mirror to Fabia 3 and he connected the wires to the BCM module, which is way easier. Octavia for some reason is different though. Anybody got a clue?

Thank you in advance.
