Hello to you all.

 

I noticed the other day that the rubber on the tailgate release has been damaged. No idea how but I'd like to replace it if possible.

 

Would anyone on here know what the part number is and how easy it is to replace? 

 

Any advice is welcome as I'm new to the MK3 & am keen to learn how to work on them. 

 

If it's any help, it's a 2018 estate.

You'll probably need to replace the entire switch.

 

Looks like 3V0827566 if you don't have the reversing camera. The switch is a push fit in; it has two wedges down each long side and one down each of the short side. So looks like removal is wiggling the switch out one wedge at a time with a trim removal tool. If you get it out first you can usually find the part number moulded / printed on the component
