I am scheduled to take in my July 2021 Enyaq 60 into a main dealer for body repairs.

When booking the appointment I was told that a software update was also required which would involve the car being required for at least 2 to 3 hours.

I have an extended warranty on the vehicle for one year = taking me up to July 2025 which I purchased when ordering the vehicle from new.

 

Forgive me if this has been raised before elsewhere but can someone enlighten me as to what the situation is for software updates beyond the normal 3 year warranty ?

Is the update chargeable and if so would it be covered by the extended warranty ?

For how long would Free Of Charge updates be provided on the Enyaq ?

the update is not chargeable, it's a recall programme they are running.
