How to select/dismiss messages from Waze shown on the Navi Screen.

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I'm the proud owner of a 2024 Skoda Kamiq and I have trouble into understanding how to use the commands on the wheel to dismiss messages that appear with Waze on my screen. For example, I get a message that in 200m there's a Police car or road works, and it asks me if they're still there. How do I dismiss or switch from Still there/ Not there from the buttons on the wheel and click it?

I've tried using the right wheel but it doesn't do anything.

Just swipe it away on the screen.

You can't do anything with the buttons on the wheel.

If you just ignore it then it will disappear once you have passed whatever it is warning you about.

On my Karoq you can only do things via the touchscreen and I assume Kamiq will be the same

Many people said this thing to me. I find it incredible that with so much technology, I have to take my hand off the wheel to press a button on the screen.

As said the messages disappear in a short while just ignore if you don't want to  move your hand off the SW.

To fair to Skoda Waze is not integrated into the car systems as it is coming from your phone. I agree it it as bit of a fiddle but as noted the messages will self clear anyway. Waze is still way better than Skodas mapping and they also want to charge for what they call traffication - the real time updates Waze gives for free.
