  • General rule I recommend to follow is "If it works without any issues don't touch it" which means don't make a firmware upgrade if everything works ok. Bricking th eunit during firmware upgrade is not

First of all - although I am from POland and Polish is my mother tongue but this is ENglish forum so pls be so kind to use ENglish :)

MirrorLink is obsolete, it has been abandoned by all phone manufacturers, so only Android AUto and Apple CarPlay are in scope. As you have SWING you will need Bolero or Amundsen infotainment reader, infotainment display, new USB and cables to connect it all.

Hi, I need your help with this situation:

I've a SWING radio with SW ver: MEN2_EU_SK_P5040L MU ver: 6490, in this case what are my alternatives?

Buy a used Bolero or Amundsen box and replace the front unit with a compatible one?

Or

Buy an alliexpress multimédia unit and retrofit it?

Thank you in advance.

I do not recommend aftermarket units. To replace with Bolero or AMundsen you need display unit, glove box unit and harness to connect it all. Glove boxunit must be patched to disable component protection and enable new features.

Is it possible for you to send me the download link also? My current software is as follows! Thanks so muchIMG_0011.JPG

Hi @pab567 would you be so kind to share the file as well for my unit?

Dear pab567,

I am new to the forum and wanted to write you a PM, but I am not allowed to do that as a new user.

Anyway, I am new to the world of infotainment coding and would like to know my options if you would be so kind to get me introduced, as I have seen you are very helpful around this forum. I know that you do not recommend to repair which is not broken, but my infotainment does not even allow me to connect to it with bluetooth (which I consider to be the most basic feature). Also when I hold Setup button on infotainment, I do not see the option "Function Enabling Codes", so I cannot even check which codes are enabled and if some are available for enabling.

My car: Skoda Fabia Mk3
Infotainment type: Swing
Part number: 6V0035867E
Hardware: 050
Software: MEN2_EU_SK_P6340L
MU: 7080

Hi,

Ive a Skoda Fabia 2018 currently running MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P7381L and i can see i need to be running MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P9160L - can you provide the file to load onto my SD card?

You have simplifies version of SWING, without DAN and without built-in Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is all you need then you can replace it with full SWING version. New unit must have Component protection removed by Skoda dealer.

If you would also like to have Android Auto or Apple Car Play then you must swap to Bolero or Amundsen but in this case new unit must be patched.
