Hi

I'm wondering if a seat Ibiza or a golf 14" wheel will fit my Octavia SDI MK1, I think they should. They are 5 stud wheels also. Still have the original wheels on & thinking 1 is getting ropey.

Good morning Ewan, probably will but it depends on the bolt PCD and the centre bore size - there are two sizes.

If the Ibiza or Golf are similar years to the Octavia, pretty sure to be same. 

Ibiza, Polo & Fabia are not the same as in 5 x 100. 

 

 I read on the many websites that shown Octavia Mk1 that they were also. 

Hi, found them sizes for the car wheels so will just have to wait till l get ashore but will keep looking for wheel less than £50 quoted from scrappy.

If you're going to use 195/70R14, consider 195/65R15 instead because it's a much cheaper tyre size and there's a much bigger choice of tyres.

Also consider the 5.5Jx15 ET40 5/100 57.1 (from Polo MK6, Audi A1, Ibiza MK5, Fabia MK4) because it's much lighter than the 6Jx15 ET38 5/100 57.1 steel rim...at just 6.6kg.

You can order the below wheel trims from any VAG parts department by quoting the OEM part number 6VA071455. However, the UK price might be a little more than the Czech price. Because this OEM part number is of the format xxx071xxx, it means it comes from the Skoda accessory catalogue...whose prices tend to be about 60% less than Skoda's normal prices. This is because Skoda use their accessory catalogue to compete on price with aftermarket rims and wheel trims, etc.

As you can see in the chart below, a 195/65R15 tyre size can be fitted to a rim width between 5.5" and 7"...hence there's no problem fitting the 195/65R15 tyre size to either of the above 5.5J or 6J steel rims.

Thanks, Carlston. Will have to look out a photo of a wheel I already have on the car as was only going to maybe replace 1 wheel but might get 2. Will see if I can get similar to what I have then see what matches what you have said.
