Dreaded SOS fault

Featured Replies

Good afternoon - 2020 superb IV has today shown up the SOS system fault. I understand this is pretty common across VAG. We have the ‘all in’ service plan with warranty. Does anyone have any idea if this fault will be covered under the warranty or not? We had to have the sat nav module replaced last year under the original warranty.

I had it replaced under warranty...but it took eight months to source the part. Mind you, my garage, Meadens, had been poor and I'm not convinced they handled it efficiently. I also had a charger controller failure (after a battery recall Meadens vouldn't tackle), and Winchester Skoda sourced it same day. Best of luck.

An update - car diagnosed with faulty gps antenna. Replacement authorised under the extended warranty.  Fingers crossed that resolves it.
