I'm going to look at a 2019 VRS 245 in a few days from a main dealer thats being sold as an approved used, I'm trying to figure out when the cambelt is due, I've read somewhere that its every 5 years/50k miles but others say its more like 8 years/80k. Basically, as the cars just turned 5 years old I'm hoping it falls under the items to be done (if due) under the approved scheme. so the dealer can change it before I take the car.

 

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated!

The 245 engine doesn't have a cambelt, it's a chain.

& when it is a Cambelt Engine for others that look at the thread,

the Advice, Guidelines, Recommendations on those changed 12 months ago in the UK.
