12 volt battery low drive to charge

Featured Replies

Hi all, 2020 superb sportline 2.0 tsi, comes up with driving battery low, drive to charge, battery comes up good on vw tester, charging rate is 13.9 volts when running, got a static fault of NV energy management alarm triggered in system which won’t clear, anyone seen this before as it’s got me stumped, thanks in advance

I get this now and again on my 2016 still on original battery, I’m surprised yours is saying that only being 4 years old but do you have anything plugged in that could drain battery, left long periods etc?

Could just be your battery is aging from high miles if yours is?

Mileage is low to be fair, 15k from

new, only thing I’ve got is a ignition fed dash cam which only comes

on when engine is running, just wondering if battery is on its way out or a fault on battery management System, it has got the dreaded Moll battery fitted

Hmm, not too sure then. If you’ve got vcds etc buy a varta a7 if yours is AGM, seems to be one of the best ones to get.

Never hard if moll or aware of any issues but still only 15k and 4 years old or so seems way too early, but if there’s a reputation replace with the best

battery life nowadays is 3-4 yrs, sadly, especially the start-stop batteries.

electric gremlins start showing up and u get weird stuff happening.

given urs is 2020 with factory original battery - sounds like it.

however i've not come across the "static fault of NV energy management alarm" that ur experiencing.

is urs an iV?
