Hi there.

 

I really hope that anyone of you might know why my Octavia is suddenly acting up. 

 

My problem is that as i'm driving, suddenly all my warning ligts come on, theres multiple warning messages in the center dash display and my infotainment shuts off with at black screen. 

 

After a while the center dash goes dark and all needles fall down to 0. 

 

If i at this point stop the car i'm not able to turn it on again. However after leaving the key in the on position the vehicle suddenly turns on again and can be started. 

 

I found a similar case in the forums however the solution was not helpful for me. I've changed the battery as the voltage went below 12,2 and that i could see the voltage slowly decaying over time in the app when it was parked.

Please note that on the video i kept on driving with no problems and instead of parking the car turning it off and on again it turned on an off by it self.

 

Do anyone of you have any idea ?

No they don't; The battery light doesn't come on. So before doing anything else, check the alternator control wires.

Get the fault codes read.
