Stuck on 1896. Can I update to 1941 at home

Hello.

 

long story short my infotainment is on version 1896 and I’m not near a Skoda dealership. Is there any way to update the software to 1941 or 1969 at home?

Take a look at this thread - 

 

It’s about v1969 but on the first page has reference to 1941 too.

Note that any DIY update would be at your own risk.
