repairing rear door leaks but???

Featured Replies

i recently discovered my rear doors are leaking:eek: so i bought the sealing cord i needed etc etc i sorted out the rear drivers side door no problem:) but when i came to do the other side the previous owner must have knew about the leaking and has tried to fix it them selves using silocone sealant:confused: and it is all over the place really thick as well!:finger: so does anybody know of some solvents or something that will remove this silocone mess?

You can buy silicone remover from Halfords, gasket remover will do the same.

See I told the critics that silicone doesnt work.

i remember reading what you said about silicone not working and now i can see why i think it has made it worse + it didnt help that it was stuck on top of the original foam that is on the carrier!
