Sat Nav Update

Featured Replies

i'm asking this question for my dad. we are trying to update his sat nav.

so we've gone onto the offical skoda site and downloaded the maps and put it onto a SD Card

now when we get into the car, we can't get it too update. we dont have anywhere in the car to put the sd card, so we are using an adaptor to stick it into  the USB input (which you can see in he picture).

we've tried everything on the menu in the car and we just cant seem to get it to update.

i can't even find anyone online that has the same interface as us. i've attached a picture of our interface menu as well

any help would be brilliant

Hello, welcome to the forum. Does your system have a CD slot? I believe some older navigation systems use a CD to load map updates.

Nah it doesn't have a cd slot. Thanks anyway

That's certainly not a stock MK2 sat-nav system. Aftermarket or later model?

The photos are not of a Mk11 Octavia.

They look like a MkIV Octavia from 2020 onwards.

Look in the glovebox and also read the manual. In a Golf of similar age the SD card slot is in the glovebox.
