Kodiaq iv (2024) - Departure planner

Featured Replies

Hi guys we've just bought a KODIAQ PHEV, and the 12V keeps going flat after I plug it in. It charges ok, but then sometimes flat in the morning.

AA told me the car is still on when the plug is in, (charging scheduled by Octopus/7KW charger). Is this normal now? Should there be a FW update?

I had the same problem and the Skoda roadside assistance technician advised me to get the software update - which I did in Oct 2025. It seems to have fixed the 12v draining issue and problems with ACC (adaptive cruise control) - but alas still no departure planner / charging scheduler. Note it was a BIG s/w update - skoda had the car for 2 days!

Ah interesting.

We've had 3 trips into the garage to fix, coupled with terrible customer service. So now we're pushing for a Replacement under Consumer Care Act 2015. I think we had 4 or 5 callouts in the end

Hi everybody,

Any updates on the departure planner?

Is it now available for the Kodiaq iV?

No planner in the Kodiaq

I had a courtesy VW Tayron last week, that does have one

Nope, and at this stage I doubt it ever will.

I have been badgering Skoda Customer Services since last June about the lack of this feature … they keep promising it will be delivered but are unable to say when. In my view, if they can’t provide a date, it’s likely because they don’t think they will ever deliver the feature.

Given that this came up again, I thought I’d try Skoda again. Got this nonsense back.

Thank you for contacting Škoda Digital Support.

We appreciate the time you have taken to reach out to us with your query.

Regarding your question about the onboard charging scheduler for the Škoda KODIAQ, we would like to inform you that there is currently no update in progress for this feature. As soon as the update becomes available, we will ensure to keep you informed.

Thank you for choosing Škoda. We wish you a pleasant day!”

My take from that it’s never been in development, it’s probably a days work for a software developer…..

I also found out that the feature is missing but for me its not a big of a deal as i can automate when my charging station starts to charge the car(at the low rate)

what i would suggest for any of you that doesnt have one and relies on a plug is the smart breaker from tongue. Tongou Smart Circuit Breaker

i use it for my lights but you can basically automate it via google home(once you connect with the tuya app) It can switch on your charger at any time. if you lack wi fi in your garage you can try this out https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa7517-kit/
