Another dreaded Škoda Connect question

Hi all, I’ve just bought a used 2020 Karoq and have downloaded the Škoda Connect app. Upon trying to become the primary user, it seems to take forever before coming up with “Unable to start registration”

 

I have googled and read loads of threads but can’t find anyone with the same message that I’m getting so not sure what to do?

 

I’ve also been trying to find out how much/does it cost anything to use the services within the app and could that be why it’s not working?

however because I can’t register, I can’t actually find out about costs. I’ve done online chat but they’re no help….  The link they gave me to follow didn’t work. It’s so frustrating!!!

When I got my 2020 Karoq in May I tried everything to become the primary user.

I had to take it back to the dealership who did a software update to resolve the problem.

Had a look at the services available seemed  pointless  on the 2020 model to me. My wife has a 2023 model with connect which is pretty useful but it expires soon don’t think we will be renewing it.
