Are there any known high mileage gear linkage bushes that wear out ?

What issues are you facing ?

Have you reset the gear linkage to take up any wear in cables?

It is a simple job described in the Haynes manual and in many YouTube videos such as this

For a start the clutch has done 150k and recently stalled on me a few times. so that's being changed out soon plus a new DMF. The actual  gear change could be better. Used to renew bushes on VWs back in the day

Should have added feels like more play when changing gear now

Just seen the cable adjust clip. Many thanks

Just thinking when the new clutch goes in the cables are disconnected any way so the garage might adjust them anyway. I will check ?

Not sure on your model worth doing the Slave Cylinder whilst car is apart if inside gearbox.

Hopefully the new clutch / flywheel will sort the issue. Also do the plastic bushes at the base of the gear-lever wear ?

New clutch & DMF fitted today. Drives really nice now. Flywheel was badly worn.
