fabia with b pillar covers pic?

Featured Replies

hey there,

can anyone help me find a picture of a fabia with b pillar covers, preferably the black skoda versions not the carbon effect ones.

thanks

Here you go...

you can get a fabia accesories brochure from skoda they are in there only £13 too im going to order some next week! how are they attached to the car?

they are vinal and just stick on.

Any pics on a silver one?

how are they attached to the car?
The covers are flexible vinyl, with VERY sticky adhesive on the back. Best fitted in warm weather. After 24 hours the glue has cured and they're fixed on for good. You need to remove the window sill rubbers to get the vinyl behind them. Be careful not to bend the sill rubbers when you do this.

They should be fitted at the factory imo! Defo a must do mod on non-black vRS's!:thumbup:

a lot of companies do... but its little bits like not adding these that keep the costs of skodas thet little tiny bit lower.

so how do you remove the sill rubbers, do they just pull out?

The rubbers are held onto the door panels by 6 or so spring clips embedded in the rubber, so they need to eased upwards a bit at a time using a straightedge e.g. a 12" ruler until the clips release. Refitting is easy; use the straightedge to push them back on evenly.

An easier alternative would be to loosen the rubbers at one end only, and use a credit card to push the vinyl behind the rubber.

If you trap air bubbles, ***** them with a needle to let the air escape and dress the bubble towards the hole (which won't show afterwards).
