Damaged windshield seal?

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

Was washing the car today and noticed the windshield seal seems to be compressed in the middle. I live in Scotland and haven't noticed any infiltration so far, but if this is an issue in the making it would be nice to fix it before it causes issues.

The bit that touches the glass seems to be ok

It will only be a cosmetic filler trim as the windscreen is bonded to the body behind the area obscured by the black screen printing, the bonding compound is what seals the screen against water ingress.

If it concerns you then hoik it back into place with a pick tool.

Thanks for the reply, that's a relief!

I can't say it doesn't bother me so I'll definitely try to put it back in it's place. 😄

Thanks again!
